Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
